INDEPENDENT RESEARCH //
As with any engagement, it all starts with an exploratory discussion with all key stakeholders. In advance, Simon OM will conduct an initial independent review of all accessible internal & external communication that is more readily available/searchable, which pertains to the prospective Organization. We may also request additional materials and/or access if we find it necessary at such an early stage, which also would include internal communication/marketing that may help us establish under Internal Marketing efforts (within the overall Strategic Marketing Plan.) Though we'll have an eye looking to establish potential brand strategy themes amongst what we find, we're not intending to use this step as anything to make decisions on – rather as an entry into what will be our OmniChannel Marketing Audit.
The most important step at the onset will be the time we invest with each other – making sure we have an open and honest two-way discussion & review of the state of business, including important information that'll be a vital element for not only what we may recommend, but where we may best launch our agreed-upon strategic initiatives into your marketplace, including to whom, why, when, what mediums and of course where that will take place. We may request additional organizational information at this point (all confidential under an NDA) that we identify as helpful elements to best create the Strategic Marketing Plan for your measurable success.
COMMUNICATIONS & BRAND AUDIT//
At this point, we ask the Client to regroup with us to actively participate in a comprehensive presentation that provides an in-depth reflection of what Simon has learned from all elements available, provided and otherwise, in the form of a Brand Audit with distinct sections for each element pertaining to what the overall current experience your audiences are experiencing from your Organization – whether intended or not. We will provide examples of what we've reviewed – both visually and in written messaging – that appear or are sent, placed, etc. in all relevant media. This includes pre & post-sales tactics in use as part of the CRM system. The discussion we hope to have is meant to serve as a fresh perspective on your current position you've carved out in the marketplace, including the effectiveness and whether or not the brand & messaging strategy underway is fully on-target and if it's intentionally set as part of an existing Marketing Plan. Are there systems in place to measure effectiveness and how everything interacts with one another as a comprehensive systematic approach? Are the right audiences getting the experience you intend? And, most importantly, are there areas that present themselves as elements of opportunity for greater clarity (distinctive & memorable,) more precise audience targeting (right people & right places,) and in a way that is always a continuation of the same story, yet executed in a way that hits your audience in a variety of ways that isn't bothersome, yet consistently there as a message that simply can't be ignored. And then, are you in control of how your CRM works, as well as what the variations of messaging are that are applicably unique to where a prospect or customer is within that cycle? These are all integral considerations that will be the lead for how the Brand Strategy itself and the overall Strategic Marketing Plan are ultimately created in a intelligent manner with tactics that meet all the needs are every point of the outbound & inbound marketing efforts, so the needs of your audiences are met with distinctive & compelling messaging that is attracting and uniquely clear. Above all else, these efforts must be intentionally coordinated and fully measurable at every touchpoint.
INTEGRATED STRATEGIC MARKETING PLAN//
Once Simon OM has access to all of the most important elements pertaining to both sales & marketing within a prospective organization, we'll conduct another round of research in the form of a Marketing Audit. This will be a deliverable unto itself, which may include a variety of things, but ultimately will give a Client a verbal & visual representation of what the Organization looks and sounds like to their core audiences – using a variety of channels to create our conclusions. Ultimately, it's an independent thoroughly researched mirror of what your Brand is doing in the marketplace and potentially even a look at the value of such efforts. This is also a key step that will help lead the Firm towards a marketing & brand strategy that will both provide the correct messaging & emotional reaction that's intended, as well as how we may connect an mROI (marketing Return On Investment) into as much of our proposed tactics in the master Strategic Marketing Plan as possible.
CREATIVE BRAND STRATEGY//
At the next stage, Simon OM will be able to take all that we've learned to this point to create a visual exploration and recommendations for a properly refreshed creative strategy may be. As a guiding principle, we will be striving to incorporate all that's been described by the Client as primary importance for the message, as well as how we best believe your brand may emotionally connect with your audiences in a uniquely engaging way that will intend to establish longer-term relationships that last. We likely will present an in-depth visual & messaging look at a variety of narrowed-down creative strategies – sometimes in the forms of the brand identity itself, mood boards, brand imagery, overarching messaging as tagline, mission, introduction, and possibly even an outline of a website and online and/or print advertisements.
At the end of this deliverable/presentation, you'll have a variety of very intentional directions to consider and ultimately approve as the desired creative strategy to use as the core elements of your refreshed brand strategy within the Marketing Plan itself. It's also expected there will be some back-and-forth with open feedback to modify the chosen brand strategy to meet the needs of the Client that creates the most confidence moving forward.
